A daughter is always a good subject for tests. This time I wanted to test the performance of my Speed Graphic’s rangefinder and a new film at the same time. Fortunately, she is a genuine model and incredibly cute. Very suited for the job

New adventure
On the road to Asia again for another adventure. Bags are checked in and i’m waiting to board the plan to kopenhagen, the first step in my journey. I can’t wait to arrive in Bangkok and enjoy that wonderful Thai food and meet new people. And it won’t be cold overthere…

Muslim Soldier
Last summer I took my kids to the Citadel of Dinant in the Belgian Ardennes. During the early weeks of World War one there was heavy fighting around and inside this military stronghold which protects and important bridgehead across the river Maas. The citadel on top of of a hill overlooking the river valley has been an important strategic point over many centuries and has been the scene of many battles throughout the ages.
When we visited the small Military graveyard near the entrance of the site I noticed a Muslim grave. It struck me that Muslim and Christians (as well as Jews and Hindus) fought side by side in the past… Now we all seem to be enemies… I posted this picture as a reminder…
